We are getting a makeover. This is so boss.

(This is an artist's rendering of our new makeover and Jivewired explicitly states that there is no current affiliation with any artists or festivals in the above photograph nor does it make any assumptions that any affiliation may be forthcoming)
So what do you think? Like I said, this is so boss.
That's two tons of pure Milwaukee muscle right there, if I may glowingly say so.
Not only that, we will be getting a wicked cool cellular app as well as a state of the art Facebook application.
2012 is indeed the year that Jivewired.com will establish its presence in the music business in other areas besides just Jivewired Radio.
But more than just a pretty face (and we do hope you think it is a pretty face), Jivewired will offer so much more to bands and performing artists. It's our goal and business model to offer much more than just a festival submission platform to our members. We want your Jivewired press kit to be an all-encompassing DIY promotional tool, one that is meant for your growing fan base as much as for those in the music industry. Each member gets a proprietary URL of their choice and a cutting edge digital press kit/one sheet that is publicly viewable, and interactive, for anyone and everyone.
The following features will be added in 2012:
- Retail Digital Distribution Platform -- We are setting up a distribution platform that allows bands to sell their music, either as a single song or an entire album, as well as set their own price. The music will download from our servers but payment will flow directly to the band's paypal account, so 100% of all sales go to the band, minus paypal charges of course. In other words, you get instant point-of-sale revenues when you sell your music on Jivewired with no incurred fees. Our platform will also include a direct link to the band's merch site for offsite purchases of t-shirts, posters, photos and other swag.
- Festival Submission Platform -- We will be affiliating with festivals in and throughout North America as well as overseas. Many submissions will be free, and for those that do charge, payment will be set by and forwarded to the hosting festival. You can be assured that Jivewired festival submission fees are actually used for, you know, festival submissions.
- Strict Back Check and Vetting Standards -- It is our intent to make sure that every festival or event listing/opportunity presented to Jivewired members is legitimate and fully compliant. Additionally, we will have representation at festivals and gig listings whenever possible, and may even offer live radio interviews and broadcasts where allowed. We guarantee dedicated phone support and e-mail customer service for all members. Many members call me just to talk music, and I actually love that aspect of my job.
- Facebook API -- Basically, your Jivewired Press Kit will be mirrored onto your Facebook page, including the retail distribution platform. You will even be able to set your Jivewired API as your Facebook landing page.
- Mobile/Tablet App -- Jivewired will look and function exactly the same on your smartphone or tablet as it does on your PC or laptop. Bands who are busy gigging and touring will be able to update or submit with a few simple clicks.
- Automated Back End - if a band is selected to play a festival/gig, notification will come to the band's admin page as well as through e-mail. This ensures that time critical deadlines are met and that notifications do not get lost in e-mail spam files. This also applies to fan and industry e-mail.
- Jivewired TV-- an all-video show much like MTV back in it's heyday. Bands will submit videos to Jivewired for submission at no charge and we will select the best ones for airing on our 24-hour dedicated video channel. Videos will stay in dedicated rotation (about 50 total) for an entire month.
- CD Reviews -- Jivewired does about 4 CD Reviews per month and we encourage bands, even non-members, to submit for review. Here is a CD Review we did for The Nghiems 2011 release "The Pine Tree, The Mushroom & The End Of The World" : http://sonicbytes.blogspot.com/2011/09/cd-review-pine-tree-mushroom-end-of.html
Of course we will always have Jivewired Radio so that your fans can sample all of the great music that our website has to offer, as well as most of today's top indie hits. Each month we feature an independent label and we focus on musicians from one geographic area. For January and February we are featuring Sub Pop Records as well as bands from the Northwest area of the United States. Our radio player features album artwork that will link to each band's retail distribution platform so that fans can purchase and download music. We pay publisher royalties and are fully DMCA-compliant.
**RADIO AIRPLAY IS NOT DEPENDENT UPON JIVEWIRED MEMBERSHIP
The coolest thing is that we will retain our state of the art Jivewired Press Kit. Here are a few screen shots of our press kit/digital one sheet for bands and performing artists.
